Vineyard at Candia Vineyard, New Hampshire

Welcome to the
New Hampshire Winery Association

In New Hampshire, wine makers thrive on independence. The chronicle of New Hampshire wine making is about hardy and liberated people sticking to the state’s motto “Live Free or Die”. Winemakers see “Live Free” as an invitation to make independent choices in their winemaking. You will discover that our member wineries are smaller, family owned and operated, and more intimate than the bigger corporate owned conglomerates that are “cookie cutter” adaptations of standards they must follow. This individuality allows winemakers and grape growers to innovatively exploit their specific terroir and winemaking talents to produce diverse types and styles of wine. Winery owners love to engage with their customers in the vineyards, wineries, and tasting rooms.

We trust you will enjoy learning more about the wineries, the owners, the varietals grown in New Hampshire - and the abundance of things to do and see in each of the regions where the wineries are located throughout the state – as you explore our website.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the NHWA download the application and read more about membership categories and cost, then reach out to us through the "contact us" feature on this site if you wish to discuss further.
